Bebe Rexha is marking a new career moment after her single “New Religion” reached No. 1 on the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart and U.S. dance radio.

In a social media post shared this week, Rexha looked back at January 25, 2025, the day she said she found out that the label she had been signed to for 12 years had decided to part ways with her. The post included a video of her crying and speaking about not knowing what would come next.

The following slides showed the chart success of “New Religion” and Rexha’s response to the milestone as an independent artist. In her caption, she thanked fans and said the achievement felt especially meaningful because she is now releasing music on her own terms.

Rexha also described going independent as difficult and said the past several years had been a challenging period for her. Her new album, Dirty Blonde, is scheduled for release on June 12.
