Marian Volek

WIKB Part time news department; host of Shopping Show

Marian is a native of Chicago, Illinois. A graduate of Roosevelt University with a bachelors degree in English, she worked in radio in the Chicago area, and as an advertising copywriter before moving to the U.P. in 1989 to take a news/features writing position at the Iron County Reporter newspaper. At WIKB, Marian covers meetings for the news department, helps in the office and is the host of the station’s new Shopping Show which airs on Saturday mornings. She lives in Iron River with her chocolate lab, Molly, and enjoys reading, writing, gardening, sewing and playing the piano.
